My entry into the entertainment industry began as an assistant to Creative Executive and Artist Manager Benny Medina at Handprint Entertainment, working on the daily team for Jennifer Lopez across all verticals, including Lopez’s additional business endeavors – her eponymous clothing line, and restaurant, Madres. An incredibly multifarious and fast paced environment, requiring the upmost attention to direction, detail, and discretion.
Working under such guidance across music and film, and these additional entrepreneurial endeavors, provided a wide exposure to the industry – and beyond, laying a solid foundation for my continued career. While I may have been drawn to music management when I arrived, I soon found myself on an intimate team with hands in multiple pies, and we all worked together tirelessly to help make it happen for one of the hardest working women in show business.
While still at Handprint, and eager for my own charge, I eventually became co-manager of Hollywood Records act 3G’s, acting as their day-to-day and serving as tour manager for a national run.
Following my time at Handprint, I joined Venus Brown at Buddah Brown Entertainment in its infancy, and have been a part of its continued growth at multiple intervals.
When we entered a joint venture with Will.i.am Music Group (A&M/Interscope), I became the A&R and Production Coordinator, managing recording projects for global hit records by Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Macy Gray, and Sergio Mendes, as well as handling all aspects of administration and production coordination for Will.i.am’s many songwriter/producer projects.
Concurrently, I was put in charge of A&R Administration for Justin Timberlake’s multiplatinum “Future Sex/Love Sounds”, and served as production coordinator for Timberlake’s independent writer/producer endeavors.
In addition to the above, I also managed multi-award-winning songwriter and guitar player George Pajon Jr (BEP, Sons of Mariel, Cairo Knife Fight) for an over a decade, where I handled endorsements, worked with publishers, executive produced his independent solo release, and helped shape his songwriting success across both the American and Latin Music markets.
I was eventually promoted to General Manager of Buddah Brown Entertainment, working closely with the President and CEO to help shape our organization, manage teams across an increasingly diverse portfolio of projects, while handling overall administration for the company and related businesses. –
